Chapter 13

Donovan And Kilfred

Years and years later, Kalaria’s son, Donovan, had just had a son of his own.  Donovan named him, Scott.  One day, Donovan and his best friend, Kilfred, were sitting on the beach, when they saw a ship in the distance.  At first, they thought it was a cargo ship, but then they saw the flag.  It was pirates, and not ordinary pirates either.  They were the skeleton pirates that used to be the rebel Mandons.  Donovan and Kilfred got their wands ready, for they were wizards.  When the pirates landed, Donovan and Kilfred started blasting spells at them.  Obviously, they weren’t very good pirates, because wave after wave of them fell to the ground and disintegrated.  Finally, there was only one left, the captain.  The captain knocked Donovan to the ground, then headed for Kilfred.  He was backed up against a rock. The captain came closer, and was about to swing his sword, when Donovan jumped up over the rock and attacked the pirate.  It was a bitter fight, but when everything settled, Kilfred saw a pile of life-less bones on the ground, and Donovan with the pirate’s sword sticking through him.  Kilfred decided that he would train Scott to become a wizard.
