Chapter 16 Blackcastle Island
Scott was directly over the island when he started to fall. He landed on a ledge near the top of the tower. There was a door that said, private. His wand skittered out of his pocket and slipped off the cliff. It landed on a pile of money inside an open chest. Then two guards came over and shut the chest. “We’d better get this to the boss quick.” One of them said. The two guards picked up the chest and walked away with it. Scott figured that the door that said private was where the guards’ boss was, but before he could move, the cliff he was on cracked, and he fell way down into a pool of water at the bottom of the island. “Oh, CRAP!!!” Scott thought to himself. Now I’m stuck at the bottom of this miserable island, and I don’t even have my wand. Oh well, I guess it was a good thing I got this dagger from Morkai. Scott started to climb the island interior. Frequently he had to hide from guards to get past. Once he tried slashing a guard with his dagger, but the guards were too tough to be damaged by that little butter knife, so they threw him into a deep hole. Luckily, Scott was able to find his way out. He was more careful now, and didn’t try that again. As he came closer to the top of the island, he came across many infrared beams. There was no way to get across, but he saw the Mongol who was operating the beams. He backtracked to the little hut where the Mongol was. “Hey you!” Scott shouted. The Mongol turned around and began to fight. Mongols, Scott discovered, were a lot weaker than guards, so they could be damaged by Scott’s dagger. After destroying the Mongol, he went over to the laser controls. There was no visible off button, so thoughtlessly, Scott jammed his dagger into what looked like the important part of the machine. The console then exploded, sending pieces of metal flying everywhere. “Uh, I guess that’s off.” Scott thought to himself. The infrared beams were gone, so Scott could easily get to the platform where the guards were. They saw him, and dropped the chest. It popped open with a thud. Scott quickly dashed past the guards and picked up his wand. He probably would’ve taken the gems too, but a guard dashed at him, barely grazing him with his spear, and knocked over the chest, spilling all those shiny gems into the ocean. Scott quickly disposed of the guards with his slash spell. A door opened, and Scott went in. Inside, there was a jail cell with a couple people in it, but he immediately recognized his grandfather. He had never been so happy to see the old geyser in his life. It was a short reunion, for after a few minutes, a tremendous shadow filled the room. Shadowaxe. The great shadowy being picked up Scott and floated up to a ledge. There was a hooded man standing there. The man whispered something to the giant, and Shadowaxe floated off into the distance…
