Chapter 6

The Next Two Shards

 

After Scott got out of the desert, he went to Mandon Plateau.  The plateau was split into three parts, and Scott found himself running up and down the plateau, collecting and trading things, until he finally found the key to the Great Tower in the middle of the plateau.  The tree told him that the next shard was in the tower.  The tower was hard to navigate because it was so tall.  Inside, Scott found a power ring which gave him the power to move heavy rocks.  He also found a piccolo, which he could play music on.  At the top of the tower, Scott found the fifth creature, a giant stone creation called Biggboleder.  Biggboleder threw sharp, pointy rocks at Scott.  Then he would rage forward.  Scott found that with his power ring, he could move the rocks so that Biggboleder would slam into them.  This would damage him.  After a few more hits, Biggboleder was defeated.  In the door, Scott found the fifth shard.  At the west side of the plateau, there was a dock.  Scott got out his boat and rode.  The currents led to a group of small islands called, the Chemical Islands.  The Chemical Islands were not really islands, but hardened chemicals, floating on the Vasta Sea.  The Chemical Islands were like a maze, leading to the dock at Tanjar Graveyard.  The graveyard was full of graves and of course, ghosts.  In one grave, Scott found a treasure chest containing the Legendary Sword.  This new sword was much more powerful than his sword.  There was an enormous grave in the middle of the graveyard.  Scott placed a bomb in front of the grave, and it blew a hole.  The tree said that a shard was in the grave, so Scott entered Zandal’s Grave.  The grave was much bigger than it looked.  Inside Scott found Super Bombs.  Super Bombs were like regular bombs, except they were homing.  He also found a magic wand, but he didn’t know how to use it.  At the end of the grave, Scott found a zombie named Zandal.  Zandal was from the Zandal Clan of grave keepers.  Gimeon was paying Zandal to find the shards, so Zandal was an enemy.  Zandal was a hard enemy.  For example, if Scott sliced Zandal’s arm off, he would grow a new one.  Scott found out he could damage him by super bombs. After he was weak, Scott sliced Zandal’s head off, and then he threw a super bomb.  After Zandal exploded, Scott walked through a door and found the sixth shard.  There was only three more to go.
