23 Deception
“Use this to shut off the security,” Mahammed whispered as he
and Scott crept through the castle.
“Protto,” Scott
whispered. The thick cord in his hand snapped in two. They crept around to
the back of the security room.
“Watch out for the Deathtroopers,” Mahammed warned.
“They’ll get you from behind.” Scott entered a small room. Suddenly,
the door slammed shut behind him, and seven Deathtroopers stormed in.
Scott heard Mahammed yell, “Kill him!”, that traitor. Scott pulled out
his sword and began hacking at the Deathtroopers’ armor. It was no use.
The armor was as hard as diamond. Suddenly Scott got an idea. He pulled
out his wand and yelled, “Gracian reveruto orog!” The armor turned from diamond into
stone. The Deathtroopers slowly moved about as Scott began hacking them
up. As he was finishing them off, Scott saw Mahammed running away. He
pointed and yelled, “Arrdones!” The
explosion missed Mahammed, and he floated away, saying,
“Another time, Spirit Walker, another time.” Scott continued up
the castle, determined to find Gimeon. He finally reached the top and saw
the dark lord standing there, the Spirit Medallion in his hand.
“You have something I want,” he said. “These powers are too
much for you to control. I demand that you return to me what is rightfully
mine.”
“Rightfully yours?” Scott questioned.
“Scott,” Gimeon replied, “do you believe we were put on this
world for a purpose? I do. I was created by the Ancient, Nathaniel, to
destroy Andoran. It is not just a desire, it is destiny. It is destiny
that you would meet me here in the Underlands, destiny that Mahammed would
betray you, and destiny that I would become the master of the Spirit and
Dark Medallions, harness their power, and destroy Andoran.”
“And it is my destiny to stop you,” Scott replied.
“Ah, such commitment,” Gimeon said back. “But how do you
think you can possibly defeat me?”
“With the Legendary Sword, infused with the power of the Spirit
Medallion,” Scott replied. “I believe that’s what defeated you
before.”
“Stupid child,” Gimeon said. “The Legendary Sword has no real
significance. It’s just a regular sword. Now I’m gonna let you in on a
little secret. See this sword I’m holding? It’s called a Galyited
sword. Do you know why? Let me give you a piece of Moler history. As you
probably know, there are many different clans of Molers. The strongest
clan was the Gilytes. Do you know why they were the strongest? Because
they had the best smiths, which means they had the best weapons. Only the
best Gilyite smiths knew how to do this, but there was a way that they
could make a sword indestructible. Guess what they called these
indestructible swords? Galyited swords. This weapon is indestructible. As
for the medallion, you only have a piece of it. I have the complete Dark
Medallion. Do you really think you can beat me?”
“I guess we’ll have to find out,” Scott said.
“Good,” Gimeon replied as he unsheathed his sword. “I was
hoping you’d say that.”
